New: inside a lego micromotor: Yes i have done an autopsy on a micromotor

On the pictures above you can see a computer interface from lego dacta, wich unfortunately can not be
bought by "near" consumers but only available to schools in holland.
the kit is connected to a pc or apple, and has 8 input sensors: touch, temperature, rotational and light sensors.
is has 8 outputs on wich you can conect motors and light.

If someone knows where else in europe i can buy this, please let me know

(on 19-10-1998 i have bought Cybermaster: Review / Tips & trics)
(on 29-11-1999 i bought droid developer kit: Review / Starwars

Before lego mindstorms was in dutch stores, i went out
and bought lego code pilot (8479) and lego helicopter with
controlbox (8485)

the 8485's controlbox was a dissapointment, al-though you can
control 3 motors with this box, there is no input possible.
to program you manualy use the buttons while in record mode,
then by pressing the play button, it repeats just that, but
with a some what strange timing.

the 8479 codepilot comes with 1 input and 1 output.
but wait, the codepilot can be programmed with barcode's
but once programmed the infra-red reader can be accesed by
the program. using a special wheel, it can "see" how fast this
wheel spins. you can then use a different speed for your
motor or have a other sound.

I hope to use it with the mindstorms brick for a larger projects.
